Settling In

Our Nursery day is organised around the needs of each individual child in our care, we follow the routine that is best for your child following consultation with you and would be happy to visit your child at home so that they are in their familiar environment when meeting a member of our team.

When you first visit Barnbabies we offer a free session to give your baby a taster of how much fun nursery can be, if you and your baby are then happy with us, we invite you and your baby back for a “pre-start” session to enable you and your baby’s key person to get acquainted. This time also offers opportunity for you to share with us anything you feel would ease the settling in process. We like parents to feel involved and included in Nursery life as we understand that your child is your most precious treasure.

Care Structure

We supply breakfast ranging from baby cereals to weetabix, porridge or toast and a homemade hot lunch with fantastic menus created by our own in-house cook. As well as a mid-morning snack with cow’s milk, we also provide the children with afternoon tea which consists of a variety of sandwiches, homemade cake and fruit with drinks offered throughout the day. We cater for all special dietary needs including wheat-free, dairy-free and vegetarian alternatives.

All that you will be required to bring is your own nappies and your preferred choice of formula milk, a change of clothes a warm coat and to help baby to settle a comforter from home.

We provide sudocrem to use at nappy changing and sun cream for warmer months. If your child is ready to be potty trained, we will work alongside you, the parents, to encourage and support your child at this important milestone.
