Nursery Layout

The Nursery is open weekdays 8.00am until 6.00pm all year round, with the exception of Bank Holidays and two weeks at Christmas when we close for maintenance.  We try to be as flexible as possible in the range of sessions offered to suit the needs of most families.

The Nursery consists of Three Main Areas:-

2½-3 Year Old Room

This room is large, bright, colourful and welcoming. The space allows scope for the children to engage in a wide variety of activities including: construction toys, games, puzzles and books.  A special writing / drawing table is laid out at all times with a permanent supply of paper, pens, pencils and crayons for the children to use freely.  There is also ample opportunity for children to choose additional activities from the wide selection available, including making cakes and sandwiches for tea.

The 3-4 Year Old Room

Children participate in small group activities at a stage appropriate to their development.  Each child is monitored, supported and encouraged through every developmental stage.

Early Years Room

Children aged 4 plus spend the majority of their Nursery time following activities that support all their needs in readiness for joining School.

Our programme includes both free play and adult directed activities and every child is supported and encouraged through each stage of development.
