Outdoor Play

We have a four acre meadow part of which is a fenced play garden with a slide, sandpits and a summer house.  Within our four acre meadow there is a fenced area for our animal enclosures, picnic area and a gardening area where the children can dig and plant.  During the summer months we have outdoor water play, and the meadow is lovely for nature walks and picnics.

We have a menagerie of animals from cats, goats, a pig, chickens, and ducks as well as two guinea pigs. Our staff take it in turns to take a small group of children to feed and water the animals as well as collect eggs so our Cook in Charge can use them in our freshly home cooked food.

We also have a special “Woodland Walk” at the side of our meadow where the children can explore nature and in our own copse children can learn about the changing seasons, hunt for bugs and mini beasts, build shelters and enjoy being outside whatever the weather.

We have a smooth surface playground where the children ride bicycles and cars, wheel dolls prams, play hop-scotch, or explore the play house.
